This is the view North from our deck. I wanted to post one before the leaves are on the the trees. I am really going to miss the river and beautiful view from our home. I didn't include the TMI towers in this picture because everyone goes crazy when they see them. I am completely used to looking at them so when I look out on a beautiful day they just aren't there.
Here's a picture from my Gallery showing the towers at sunrise. I'll post some other shots I took another day.

We've often thought they should cover them in the Chia pet stuff and they'd look like giant bush sculptures.
Now on to "INTO THE WILD"
I saw this at a friends house last night (she's got one of those 52" Plasma Screens and a theatre room, pretty cool). I'd wanted to see it at the theatre when it was out and missed it. (So many movies, so little time.)
This movie is Directed by Sean Penn. Emile Hirsch, Marcia Gay Harden, William Hurt, Vince Vaughn, Hal Holbrook and Catherine Keener are all in it. (For those of you familiar with these actors). It's based on a true story about a young man named Christopher McCandless who abandons his possessions, gives his entire $24,000 savings account to charity and hitchhikes to Alaska to live in the wilderness. He was a top student at Emory University. In the end he is unprepared for Alaska and dies from starvation.
It's a very powerful film. The cinematography is gorgeous and this "Emile Hirsh" who I've never heard of did a great acting job. Christopher McCandless clearly had some kind of schizophrenia or Obessive Compulsive disorder that eventually took control of him. He had a deep hatred towards his parents that I found unfair. They were disfunctional and a mess, but they were together and loved him. It's a very sad story. The movie itself is not sad and it's amazing to follow him on his travels through the West, into Mexico and then eventually to Alaska.
