Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays or whatever you prefer. The last time I posted a picture of this cat was for Easter. HA HA, he's a relatives pet and I just got this. Couldn't resist. Doesn't he look happy.

I just worked at the family speciatly business. I can't believe how many people come in at the last minute for custom work, it is the 24th and they KNOW we can't just make things on the spot, but in they come anyway. Oh well.

My shopping is done as far as it's going to go. My food preps are as far as they are going to get, etc. For some reason husband has decided to fix the broken dishwasher RIGHT NOW, three hours before we are expected at relatives for Christmas Eve. It's been broken for two months. Go figure. What a mess. I am not going to let this bother me. Enjoy my Christmas Cat picture!!! ha ha

OK so it wasn't quite like this picture but our party was quite a success. It had just been a LONG time since I put one together. I think I'll start having more. I've been wrapping gifts and writing cards, etc. all day. I even baked some cookies. I'm known as Betty Crocker NOT to friends and family. I'm just not much of a cook. I made those ridiculously easy no bake oatmeal chocolate ones to start out. I really envy people who come up with these beautiful shaped decorated cookies. You know -- Martha Stewart kind. And has anyone ever priced those little silver balls you decorate with???? Geez, they are EXPENSIVE!

I decided to have a party a couple weeks ago. We never "entertain" anymore. I was actually surprised how many people were anxious to come. I hope they all make it tomorrow night. Anyway, I put the word out and now we've been scrambling like crazy to get the house ready. When you invite a bunch of people to your home who either have never been here or haven't been here in years you realize how much you need to clean and update. So the decorations are coming along. The animals have all been bathed. We've cleaned, vacuumed, dejunked, etc. The foods ordered. Tomorrow is set up, display, and have a good time. Can't wait!
